The Cyprus Science Foundation established the European University of Lefke, which formally launched its academic operations as a State Foundation University in 1990. Since the institution’s inception, the University and each of its corresponding departments has received accreditation from the Higher Education Council (Board) of the Turkish Republic.
The university’s main campus is perched on a hill in one of the island’s most naturally beautiful regions, with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea and the surrounding countryside.
